Hello World! You’ve reached my bio page for The Marketing Maven Blog. Here’s the short version of this site; I’m here to share information on web marketing with the many people I’ve run into who need help learning the basics of search engine optimization, best practices for marketing online, while assisting this lovely “tribe” of people in keeping up to date with all the news that I find enlightening. I have to say, there are parts of this industry that are not just informative, but entertaining to say the least. I never imagined I’d find so much joy in the theatrics of geekery that is now truly integrated with the masses.
A little background on me–I just finished my web marketing certificate and learned from professionals already in the field who’ve worked in tech for many years, worked for notable places like Oracle, and even have their own agencies but love teaching. I fell into this field by way of freelancing with start-ups in the Bay Area after being an instructor for several years in LA, Korea and Oakland. I taught ESL and Computer Literacy to immigrants. Believe it or not, there are people out there who have no idea what a mouse is or “maps” on Google. Though I love working with those communities, the economy has brought me here, a place I can feel creative in and still serve a purpose for small businesses who don’t get SEO, SEM and general basics about customer service and brand messaging online. I do believe we’re here to serve people and offer a worthy service or product. I hope you enjoy the practical information and the romantic story of tech that I’ll be providing over the coming years.
If you have any feedback or want to contact me, feel free to reach out in all the numerous ways I’ve enabled below. I love connecting with people from all walks of life, as can be seen from the cross-pollination of groups I interact with.
